For over 170 years, PGG Wrightson has worked with New Zealand farmers to service their on-farm needs, using physical “Blue Books” as a reference for essential farm information. PGG Wrightson asked us to help them modernise the process, so we partnered with Intergen to create Blue Note, an enterprise-level sales app, on a Windows 8.1 device.

We began with in-depth research, interviewing and shadowing sales staff to understand their needs. Insights from this phase shaped an intuitive, touch-friendly design.

Through iterative testing, we refined workflows and optimised features based on user feedback. The result was a streamlined, easy-to-use application providing instant access to customer data, inventory, and historical records.

Blue Note transformed PGG Wrightson’s sales approach, improving efficiency and allowing the team to focus on building stronger relationships with farmers.
