In 2013, The Arts Foundation launched Boosted, New Zealand’s only dedicated arts crowdfunding platform, designed to connect artists with philanthropists.

Boosted quickly became a success, raising $370,000 for 100 projects in its first year. Since then, it has gone on to raise more that $14M from 128,000 donations to fund more than 2,000 arts projects—boasting an incredible 94% success rate.

Our design work focused on accessibility, trust, and usability, making it easy for donors to support projects they care about. The platform’s clean, modern interface guided users effortlessly from discovery to donation, helping make Boosted one of the most effective arts crowdfunding platforms globally.

This project was a perfect blend of design, technology, and social impact—helping artists bring their visions to life while fostering a culture of giving in New Zealand.
